Soukoul

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

This policy explains what data Soukoul collects, why, who it is shared with and how you can exercise your rights. We only collect what is useful to run the service and we never sell your data.

1. Data controller

Your data is processed by Wourix, an establishment with its registered office in Douala (Cameroon), publisher of www.soukoul.com. Contact for any question about your data: support@soukoul.com.

2. The data we collect

  • Your account: email address, full name, country, language, creation date. If you log in with Google, Google sends us your name and email address.
  • Your WhatsApp number, only if you choose to add it in My account, and your possible consent to receive our offers on WhatsApp.
  • Your purchases: courses and offers purchased, amount, currency, country, payment provider, payment reference and status. We never receive your Mobile Money PIN or your card number.
  • Your learning: lesson progress, personal notes, favorites, certificates, reviews, credits and subscriptions.
  • Your documents: the content of the CVs you create with the CV generator, including the photo if you add one.
  • Your messages: what you send us through the contact form, by email or on WhatsApp.
  • Technical data: IP address (to detect your country and protect the site against abuse), device and browser type (for login security), and anonymous visit statistics.
  • Your activity on the site, sent to Meta to measure our ads (pages viewed, searches, purchases…), unless you decline: see the section “Advertising: the Meta pixel”.

3. Why we use it

  • To let you log in, take your courses and keep track of your progress.
  • To process your payments, open your access and send you your receipts.
  • To send you the emails the service needs: login codes, security alerts, receipts, subscription reminders.
  • To send you progress reminders and news by email: you can turn them off at any time in My account › Preferences.
  • To contact you on WhatsApp about our offers, only if you have agreed to it.
  • To display prices in your currency and the site in your language.
  • To issue your certificates and allow them to be verified.
  • To protect the site against fraud and abuse, and to improve Soukoul through anonymous statistics.
  • To measure how well our Facebook and Instagram ads work and show them to people they may interest, unless you decline.
  • To comply with our legal obligations, including accounting.

4. Cookies

Soukoul uses cookies that are necessary for it to work:

  • the session cookie, which keeps you logged in on your device;
  • soukoul_country and soukoul_language (30 days), which remember your country and language;
  • soukoul_ads_consent (6 months), which remembers your advertising choice.

Unless you decline, the Meta pixel also sets its advertising cookies _fbp and _fbc (up to 90 days), which link your visits to our ads: see the section “Advertising: the Meta pixel”. Visit statistics (Vercel Analytics) are anonymous and do not use cookies.

5. Advertising: the Meta pixel

To find out which Facebook and Instagram ads bring new students, and to show them to people they may interest, Soukoul uses the Meta pixel and the Meta Conversions API. We send Meta:

  • your actions on Soukoul: pages viewed, courses viewed, searches, favorites added, account creation, payment started and purchase (product bought and amount, converted to US dollars);
  • what lets Meta recognize you: your email address, your WhatsApp number if provided, your name, your country and your account identifier, in an encrypted form that cannot be read back (hashing), as well as your IP address, your browser type and the Meta cookies.

We never send the content of your lessons, your notes, your messages or your payment details (Mobile Money PIN, card number).

A Mobile Money payment is often confirmed a few minutes after you click. To link the purchase to the ad it came from, we keep your IP address, your browser and the Meta cookies at the time of payment, then delete them as soon as they are sent to Meta, after 8 days at the latest.

Meta uses this data under its own privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy).

Your choice: if you are in the European Union, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, nothing is sent without your consent. Elsewhere, measurement is on by default. Everywhere, you can decline or accept at any time with the buttons below: your choice is kept for 6 months on this device and in this browser. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal.

6. Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your data. It is only entrusted to the providers that help us run Soukoul, for that purpose only:

  • Supabase: database and login (servers located in the European Union, in Ireland);
  • Vercel: website hosting and anonymous statistics;
  • Cloudflare: video storage and delivery;
  • Resend: sending emails;
  • NotchPay and SasPay: payment processing;
  • Google: login with Google, if you choose it;
  • Meta (Facebook, Instagram): measuring our ads, unless you decline (see the section “Advertising: the Meta pixel”);
  • WhatsApp (Meta): conversations with our team, if you write to us on WhatsApp.

We may also disclose data when required by law (for example, a request from a judicial authority).

7. Transfers outside your country

Our providers may host or process your data outside your country, in particular in the European Union and the United States. We choose recognized providers that apply appropriate security measures.

8. How long we keep it

  • Your account and learning data: as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, it is deleted.
  • Your payment data: for the period required by our accounting and tax obligations, even after the account is deleted.
  • Issued certificates remain verifiable through their public link as long as your account exists.
  • Messages sent to support: as long as needed to handle your request and follow up, then 3 years maximum.
  • Technical security data (anti-abuse limits, login devices): as long as it is useful to protect your account.
  • Information kept to link a purchase to an ad (IP address, browser, Meta cookies): deleted as soon as it is sent to Meta, after 8 days at the latest.

9. Security

Communications with the site are encrypted (HTTPS). Videos and documents are only accessible through temporary links, after your rights have been checked. Access to the administration is restricted to the Soukoul team. No password is needed to log in: you receive a one-time code, valid for a few minutes.

10. Your rights

At any time, you can:

  • view and correct your information in My account;
  • delete your account from My account;
  • turn off reminder and news emails in My account › Preferences;
  • withdraw your consent to WhatsApp messages;
  • decline Meta advertising measurement, in the section “Advertising: the Meta pixel”;
  • ask us for a copy of your data, its correction or deletion, or object to a processing, by writing to support@soukoul.com.

We reply within one month. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can also contact the personal data protection authority of your country.

11. Minors

Soukoul is intended for people aged at least 18. Below that age, the consent of a parent or guardian is required. If you believe a child has sent us data without this consent, write to us: we will delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this policy, in particular as the site evolves. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page; for any significant change, we notify you by email or on the site.
